Bette Midler's Biography:
Bette (Pronounced Bet) Midler is a larger than life award winning singer, actress and all around performer.
Bette was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 1, 1945. The 5’1” superstar is known as The Diving Miss M and Bathouse Betty because of her early career performing in gay bathhouses. Bette has won acclaim in both dramatic and comedy roles.
The singer/comedienne/author/performer studied drama at the University of Hawaii. Her very first album was released in November 1972. Her Bette Midler, which was her second album, followed her first album to the top of the charts and established a long standing career of popularity.
It has been reported that the controversial superstar has natural blonde hair which she has worn in a wide range of styles (short to long), colors (red, blonde, dark brown) and textures (very curly, stick straight) over the years.
Bette has also gone up and down the scale with her weight and has performed in TV, films and on Broadway.
