Sophina Brown's Biography:

Sophina Brown was born September 18, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan.  She is a American actress who had a starring role on the now defunct CBS drama series Shark. Sophina played the riveting Raina Troy on Shark. 

As of Fall 2008 she is co-starring on the CBS hit, Numb3rs.  She plays the role of Nikki Donat, an “adrenaline junkie” and former LAPD officer.

Right after college Sophina got one of her first professional jobs in The National Tour of the hit musical FAME. Soon after she made her Broadway debut in The Lion King. She has guest starred on many television series.

Her other television credits include, coincidentally, a guest-starring role on NUMB3RS, a recurring role in "Chappelle's Show," as well as guest-starring roles in the CBS series "Without a Trace," "Hack," "The Education of Max Bickford" and the daytime drama "As the World Turns." She has also guest-starred in "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU," "Strangers with Candy" and "Twins."

Sophina Brown has a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from the University of Michigan.

Sophina has naturally curly hair and has been quoted as saying she uses products to help her control frizz for her beautiful curls.
